We did a few other touristy things while we were in Tokyo. Here is the view from the top of the 'World Trade Center'. Tokyo has borrowed many building ideas from around the world, like the Empire State Building, The Eiffel Tower and others.

Tom and I took a city river cruise and saw the commercial areas of the city. The entire place we being prepared for the annual fireworks festival. They estimate 1 million people flock to the river for this event, which is in remembrance of when a plague hit the area many years ago and in order to boost morale amid the death, the leaders provided a wonderful fireworks show. I don't do big crowds so we didn't attend.

We visited a famous market area and shrine during our bus tour, and here we are at the outer moat of the royal palace. No one is allowed on the grounds, so the moat will have to do.

We ate at a famous local garlic restaurant. The food was good but pricey. Here are the mascots for the restaurant, and 2 more bobble-heads.

We had promised Drew we would go to the Hard Rock Cafe-Tokyo so he could add to his Hard Rock t-shirts from around Asia. It was one of the dumpiest cafes we have been to yet, but the food hit the spot.

Tom has always wanted to see the Blue Man Group, and luckily they were performing while we were in Tokyo. It was a great show, but we missed some of the information because it was in Kangi.
